1. The Pioneers met at the ICEC Spring Conference.
2. Pioneers are planning an oral history presentation for Friday afternoon of the Convention.
3. Illinois Pioneers who died since January were recognized in the Pioneers newsletter—Margaret Ortinau Simons, Bob Leach, and Jackie Crain.
4. Bill Vickers recently published the latest edition of the Illinois Pioneers Newsletter. Included in that edition was the Spring Conference Report, a Governmental Relations Report, a report from our President Sharonjoy Jackson, a letter from Charlie Ziemer, and the Scholarship Report. Thanks to Bill for all his work on the newsletter.
5. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded at the Pioneers Annual Business
Meeting on Friday afternoon of the ICEC convention. Thanks to Robin Griswold for chairing the scholarship committee.
6. With the leadership of President, Sharonjoy Jackson, the Illinois Pioneers
have had a very active and productive year.
9. Bob Abbott continues to organize and assign the oral histories. Thanks, Bob!
