Professor Hogan of Dominican University will entertain us with humorous and practical reading strategies.

Internet Predators
A local FBI agent will demonstrate how easily someone can target our students on the internet.  You won't want to miss this one!!

Co-Teaching-Making it Work
Jessica Pyatt, a Carbonale veteran teacher, will give us practical tips and how to get started on the co-teaching model.

RTI-Cracker Barrel Sessions
Leigh Ann Richelman, Tri-Co, will answer your questions.  Come share your successes and problems.  Practical tips and good laughs given.

Autism Spectrum Panel
Zeppelyn Brewer, Tri-Co, Speech Therapist
Melanie Hamilton, Tri-Co, CD Teacher
Jenny Martin, SIU Autism Center

This panel will discuss the impor tance of collaboration between services to create a workable program for all classes.

 
 

Conference Sessions
Will include

Using Those Probes
Kelly Glassett, SIUC, will show you how to take the basal reader and use probes to gain student information. A CD of probes will be provided.  Error Correction and comprehension will be addressed.

Wrap Them up to Writing -  Therese Hogan, our Keynote Speaker, will present another entertaining session on engaging even the most difficult writers.

 

 

File Folder Games - Make it >and Take it
(2 Sessions)
Jodi DeJarnett, WCSED, will reprise her highly sought after make and take session.  Bring back something to use on Monday.

Transition Speakers
Representatives from various agencies will be available to answer your questions about planning for students' after high school transition.  Agencies include:  Dept. of Human Services, SIU, JAL, Local Workshops, Transitional Living
